Job Title: Dari & Pashto Linguist translation and interpretation Job Category: Language Services Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Outside Continental US * * * The Opportunity : CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for Dari & Pashto language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. Responsibilities: Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text Able to interpret accurately. The ability to consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required. Has a good understanding of one of more regional dialects Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression. Candidate needs to posses excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports. Qualifications: Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts Web. Must posses computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research on the Web Excellent English-language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings 4 years of HLT-related experience such as Java, Python, HTML highly desired; US immigration experience is highly desired Tool Familiarity: Microsoft Office tools & Applications is required Powerpoint is required This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
