Salary: $20.00 - $35.00 CNC Machine Operator - Skilled Location:
Lancaster, PA Pay: $21.00-$26.00 DOE Overview The Machinist is
responsible for operating CNC machines to machine rare earth magnet
materials to precise customer specifications. This role supports
daily operations and collaborates closely with Engineering on
process improvements to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities Prioritize safety and minimize risk in all
machining operations. Read, understand, and follow all Work
Instructions (WI) and Process Control Standards (PCS). Review
engineering drawings to determine required dimensions, features,
tolerances, and customer specifications. Set up machinery for each
job, including installing tooling and selecting appropriate
programs when applicable. Select and use proper measuring
instruments such as optical comparators, micrometers, gauges, dial
indicators, and height indicators. Perform and document first-piece
inspections prior to running production. Maintain equipment through
cleaning, changeovers, and tooling maintenance. Manage inventory of
materials and tooling for both operations and engineering. Operate
a variety of equipment including disc/ring cells, drills, grinders,
soakers, and related machinery. Record data in the ERP system and
manufacturing router in accordance with work instructions.
Education & Experience High school diploma required; specialized
machining training preferred. 5-10 years of CNC machining
experience. Ability to influence costs and improve processes.
Effective verbal and written communication across departments.
Ability to balance independent tasks with supervisor-assigned work.
Proficient with computers and manufacturing software for
