Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading nonprofit healthcare organization in
the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a skilled Physical
Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in
providing top-tier physical therapy services tailored to the
individual needs of our patients. As part of our health services
team, the successful candidate will be instrumental in helping
patients achieve maximum mobility and comfort, aligning with our
patient-first approach to care. Working within our state-of-the-art
facilities, the PT will formulate treatment plans, execute mobility
assessments, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to
ensure comprehensive care. Assess patient condition by examining
muscle strength, mobility, and overall functional capabilities.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on
patient-specific needs and assessment findings. Document patient
care services and reevaluate patient progress, modifying treatment
plans as necessary. Provide education and guidance to patients and
their families regarding treatment plans and home exercises.
Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential and
secure. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a
comprehensive approach to patient care. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills High proficiency in physical therapy treatment
modalities Ability to handle physical demands of the position
Excellent organizational and time-management skills Proficient in
using healthcare software for patient management Medical Insurance

Physical Therapist license in the state of practice A current Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification preferably from the American Heart
Association
