Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This position
offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that
focuses on providing exceptional patient care across a variety of
settings. The PTA will work under the supervision of our licensed
physical therapists to assist patients in their recovery and
rehabilitation processes. This role is pivotal in helping patients
achieve their mobility goals, supporting a range of conditions from
post-surgical recovery to chronic disease management. Assist
physical therapists in the development and implementation of
patient treatment plans. Document patient progress and response to
therapy. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans
and home exercises. Maintain equipment and treatment areas.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic
patient care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in using physical therapy equipment and tools. Ability
to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
Knowledge of patient management and safety protocols. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license. CPR
certification.
