Nurse Practitioner | Surgery - General/Other Location: Atlantic City, NJ Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as a Locum - NP/PA - Trauma Surgery in Atlantic City, NJ Are you a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a passion for trauma and acute care surgery? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum provider to support critical care services at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic hospital environment while working flexible 12-hour shifts. Immediate start through October, with the chance to contribute to a Level II Trauma Center in Atlantic City, NJ. Required Skills: Current NP or PA licensure in New Jersey Certification with RNFA or related surgical credentials preferred Proven experience in trauma, emergency, or acute care settings Proficiency in managing trauma alerts, inpatient care, and surgical consultations Ability to perform procedures including chest tube placement, central/arterial line insertion, and minor suturing Strong communication and teamwork skills Competency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner Nice to Have Skills: Previous experience working in a Level II trauma hospital BLS, ACLS certifications Experience supervising or collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently Preferred Education and Experience: Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies At least 2 years of clinical experience in trauma or emergency environments Prior locum or temporary coverage experience is advantageous Other Requirements: Local to Atlantic City or nearby for mileage reimbursement Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends No need for a new state license, as licensure has been pre-approved Healthcare providers must pass credentialing within approximately 30 days This is a fantastic opportunity to serve in a critical care capacity, enjoy competitive compensation at $120.60 per hour, and be supported by a dedicated team committed to your success.
