Job Description Job Description The Back of House Supervisor supports the efficient operation of Amos Place's kitchen and dish areas by overseeing staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role works closely with the Restaurant Manager and Front of House leadership to ensure smooth service flow and consistent customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily back-of-house operations, including food prep, cooking, and dishwashing activities. Support and coach kitchen and dish staff to maintain high standards of performance, safety, and teamwork. Ensure food is prepared and presented according to established recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards. Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in compliance with local health regulations. Oversee inventory and restocking of ingredients, supplies, and cleaning materials. Communicate effectively with Front of House Supervisors to coordinate service and resolve issues promptly. Assist in scheduling, training, and onboarding new kitchen and dish staff. Step into cooking or prep roles as needed to support the team during high-volume periods. Monitor equipment for proper operation and report maintenance needs promptly. Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Qualifications Previous kitchen experience, including as a line cook is required. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Experience as a Grill Cook preferred Dependable, organized, and committed to quality and service. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and working in hot or humid environments.
