Job Description Jacob's , Special Project Division, SPD, is a
rapidly growing division within the Rapid Solutions Business Unit
of KeyW/Jacobs. SPD is a full-service engineering and manufacturing
team that supports the design and integration of sensor systems on
various platforms including aircraft, UAV, ISR Pods, Shipboard,
Aerospace and others. Our facilities have complete manufacturing
and testing capabilities, allowing you as the engineer to be part
of the manufacturing and test process from prototype to production.
Our team is looking for a highly motivated and hardworking
individual that likes to take ownership and wants the opportunity
to make themselves and our team successful. The opportunity will
provide the employee various tasking too include Quality Control,
Configuration Management and Manufacturing Engineering
efforts.Qualifications Required: 3+ years' experience in conformal
coating, staking, bonding and encapsulation in a PCBA manufacturing
environment. Understanding of application, inspection, and removal
of tape and masking materials in conformal coating process.
Understanding of the environmental protections and PCBA cleanliness
requirements. Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling procedures
and PPE requirements. Ability to understand product drawings,
specifications, and work instructions. Ability to support
generating labor and material cost estimates to support customer
quotes. Understanding the quality of the PCBA products as specified
in customer instructions. Understanding of systems used in
conformal coating. Understanding of conformal coating spray
machines and application process. Ability to program 3-axis
equipment like Asymtek or PVA. Understanding of acrylic, urethane
and arathane coating and process controls. Strong analytical and
critical thinking skills. Failure analysis, and process
improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred: NASA-STD-8739.1 certification is highly desirable.
IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certification is preferred. AS9100
knowledge is helpful. BS Engineering (Preferably Chemical,
Mechanical or Material Science) preferably dealing with the
manufacturing, assembly and distribution of machinery, automation,
robotics, or fluid control products. Jacobs is an Equal
