Job Description:

  • Maintains project setup and project close in appropriate manner to ensure completeness and accuracy of project's evidence.

  • Prepares client invoices in accordance with the contract terms.

  • Provides month-end reporting on project performance including gross margin variances and all other financial aspects, prepares specialized reports and accounting data analysis.

  • Prepares various journal entries such as: revenue adjustments, cost accruals, provision for loss.

  • Supports inventory for 4 divisions by tracking the sales and costs.

  • Provides monthly support to Accounting to reconcile inventory costs on the balance sheet.

  • Works with Sector Business manager on audits relating to inventory.

  • Works with Project Managers to develop and validate EAC's on a monthly basis.

  • Monitors project balances on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Unbilled and Unearned items, DSO.

  • Follows company policies, procedures and US GAAP, statutory requirements and SOX controls.

  • Effectively communicates with the project team during the entire life cycle of the project and provides continuous support and guidance.

  • Liaises with other departments, clients and outside vendors to resolve cross-functional matters.

  • Ensures that all deadlines are met.

  • Participates in internal and external audits.

  • Interprets accounting data, analyzes reports and recommends action to be taken.

  • Proposes process and system improvements.

  • Provides work guidance and support to co-workers, shares broad accounting knowledge on complex assignments, projects or tasks.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related disciplines and at least 3 years of experience in various financial control functions, or a Master's degree and at least 2 years' experience in various financial control functions.

  • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Advanced analytical skills, accuracy and focus on details.

  • Tracking budget vs. actuals expenses.

  • Good time and tasks management skills.

  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience with the use of PeopleSoft is a plus.
