Job Description Job Description The Marketing & Communications
Intern provides broad support to the D.C. Bar’s Marketing
Department. This position assists with the development,
coordination, and execution of marketing and communications
initiatives to promote the Bar’s programs, events, and services.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, and eager to
gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation,
and project coordination within a professional membership
organization. The internship is expected to begin June 2026 and
will run through August 2026. This is an hourly position working up
to 21 hours per week. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Brainstorms social media content ideas that align with the
marketing and editorial calendar, evergreen campaigns, and current
initiatives. Captures and produces visual content, including photos
and short videos at Bar events, for use on digital and social
channels. Helps create a library of images and digital assets that
support and enhance brand messaging. Assists with day-to-day
marketing and communications support, including project
coordination and campaign tracking. Supports email marketing
efforts and member outreach. Provides project management support,
including tracking tasks, updating timelines, and coordinating
deliverables. Acts as a liaison between the Marketing team and
other Bar departments, facilitating collaboration, managing content
requests, and following up as needed. Performs other duties as
assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Current student pursuing a degree
in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or a
related field. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and
contributing to an inclusive working environment. Excellent oral
and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer
service skills. Must work well in a team environment and be able to
interact, including in-person, with Bar members, volunteers,
vendors, the public and Bar employees. Ability to handle and
maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with social media platforms
(LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook) and analytics tools. Experience
with photo/video editing software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or
similar). Interest in learning digital marketing tools such as
Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Asana, and Clearview Social. Please

remotely. The hybrid status of this position may change at any time
