Application deadline: Apr 9, 2026 The Integrated Project Quality
(IPQ) lead is responsible for managing a team of Technical Quality
Managers (TQM) and Quality Control Engineers (QCE) who run quality
assurance and control projects by coordinating with vendors,
contractors, and other teams. This role owns contracting strategy,
technical direction, financial health, and team-wide performance —
ensuring every project is delivered at the highest quality standard
for AWS customers. The IPQ Program Lead shall ensure that all
quality control projects in their assigned region (AMER) are
appropriately staffed, delivered on time, and achieve bar-raising
quality standards. They will oversee team-wide inspection
completion, observation tracking, and quality metrics reporting to
ensure on-time project delivery and high quality turnover of
completed construction projects. They will be responsible for
presenting program progress and critical constraints to senior
leadership weekly and monthly, in additional to developing annual
build plans, scaling headcount plans and contracted resources as
needed to support business delivery. This role will strategize and
oversee the development of inspection templates, quality control
plans, and QA/QC procedures. In addition, they will oversee
regional inspection reports, lead quality audits and region-wide
system-level quality assessments to ensure compliance with IPQ
standards. During construction and commissioning phases, they will
coordinate team-wide resourcing and workplans across the region to
ensure onsite execution roles are properly staffed, supporting
technical oversight directly as needed across the portfolio.
Additionally, the role will use quality metrics, observation
trends, and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of
our program, partnering with global peers to influence best
practices in all AWS project globally, where possible. This
position will include coverage of multiple inflight projects and
quick timelines overseeing budgets of $5-10M per contract and
resourcing plans for both internal and external contractors.
Critical systems that require oversight in the AWS program include:
- Medium and low voltage power systems - Generators - UPS - HVAC
(Air Handlers / Exhaust Fans / VFD) - Chilled Water systems -
Building Management Systems (BMS) - Electrical Power Monitoring
Systems (EPMS) - Pumps and Hydronic systems - Building
Shell/Structural/Envelope Systems - Site/Foundation/Utility Systems
- Fire Life Safety (FLS) Systems Key job responsibilities - Hire
and on-board new team members through coaching and/or other
orientation practices and career development of team to meet
business demands - Understand the current capabilities of quality
automation tools (Procore, inspection platforms) and confirm they
are being utilized to the full benefit of the department and
project - Provide Monthly Business Review (MBR) reports to
influence and/or support business decisions - Monitor the IPQ
team's performance in conducting inspections, tracking
observations, and ensuring quality standards are met across all
critical infrastructure systems and sub-systems - Enhance skills,
performance and development of all employees by sponsoring and
promoting completion of training programs so that adherence to
quality guidelines and specifications is ensured and work of the
highest quality prevails - Maintain safe and healthy work
environment by following and enforcing established project
procedures relating to safety, work permitting and work order
systems; adhere to legal requirements - Ability to build effective
relationships with construction management, field engineering,
commissioning, general contractors, electrical contractors, and
vendor personnel - Lead quality control initiatives to reduce
equipment damage and electrical events - Develop and implement
inspection templates and quality control plans - Oversee electrical
quality program validations — crimping and termination — and other
specialty technical quality assurance processes - Coordinate
quality handoffs with commissioning teams and construction

mentorship, leadership, and coaching of construction management or
commissioning professionals experience - 5 years of general
contractor and vendor management work (request for proposals,
bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking)
associated with construction and project execution experience - 5
years of hiring, developing, and leading high-performing teams
experience - Experience in management of construction quality
systems - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering
science OR 10 years of related quality control/quality assurance
experience in critical infrastructure in lieu of a degree -
Experience directly constructing electrical engineering systems
including large scale power distribution/generation gear and
mechanical engineering systems including cooling systems -
Experience directly related to the quality control or construction
of data centers, specifically large scale technical operations or
large-scale data centers - Experience with design or construction
administration of a variety of electrical distribution systems
ranging from low voltage to high voltage, including crimping and
termination standards - Understanding of general IBC, ASHRAE, and
ASCE code requirements and technical resources, including industry
quality standards (NETA, IEEE, NEC, etc.) - Experience directly
related to the design or construction of data centers, including
knowledge of electrical engineering principles including
switchgear, UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers - Ability and
willingness to find creative and innovative solutions to improve
quality outcomes and reduce defects with no impact on schedule and

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
